Oliver Woods is a photographer and visual artist based in London, in the UK. He graduated from Liverpool John Moores University after studying Fine Art. He has also participated in numerous workshops in the UK and elsewhere in Europe. While his preferred medium is photography itself, he is also interested in expressing ideas through the use of other lens-based processes. Sometimes he incorporates objects within his practice, which can either be fabricated or ready-made.
Woods’s work is grounded in a sense of place. It explores themes connected to memory and family stories, especially those relating to trauma, loss, love and self-identity.
